Description

Red Clover is a short lived herbaceous perennial, They grow up from hollow, hairy stems that have three leaflets with a pronounced white v shape on them. They will grow a beautiful, red, pinkish Purple flower that is some what egg shaped, they can reach 4 to 12 inches tall.


History

The red clover has been used by herbalists for a very long time. Used for its plant compounds, which help with women complaints like menstrual cycle or menopause, hot flashes. Europeans originally brought it here for cow grazing and to feed their farm animals. It was said the honey from the flowers was highly collected for its medicinal properties.
